MA / U Studio was founded in 2012 by Danish designer Mikal Harrsen and architect Adam Hall and specializes in creating innovative systems for the home, work and hospitality, focusing on the construction of simple products, but of great visual impact, which offer solutions that can adapt to the uses and changes in lifestyles.
The fundamental design principles of MA / U Studio are simplicity, functionality and adaptability, combining a dry Scandinavian aesthetic with a deep appreciation for modernism.
The collection, made up of expertly engineered shelving, tables and containers, stands out for its elegant lines, adaptable to any environment in constant evolution, where more and more domestic and work spaces overlap.
The projects focus on essential shapes, with a clean linear style and geometric shapes that create an unpretentious, but visually surprising composition. The extraordinary balance of proportions and an elegant discretion define all the decorative and functional models.
Each piece of the collection is designed to offer complete freedom to compose a living space, merging without any effort and obtaining the maximum effect with minimum means; his clean and direct approach, not at all miserable, has now attracted even the most demanding lovers of rigorous and rational design.
In 2017 De Padova acquired the young Danish studio, with a new production in Italy, flawlessly integrating Scandinavian roots with Italian know-how and uncompromising quality standards, creating a global design brand to meet the most refined needs .
The materials and colors are very selected: only steel and lacquered wood, combinable with marble in richer solutions, and the black or white graphic without any other distraction.
Thanks to its compatibility and the intelligence of the project, all the elements can be combined to obtain various types of structures, from the most minimal to the most complex ones such as walk-in closets, bathroom furniture or a kitchen of rare elegance. The system, in the extreme cleanliness of its lines, can also be just a bench, a refined TV stand, a very graphic bookcase or a table with infinite lengths.
